As they say - What we learn in Theory and what we do in Practical is not same. This holds true for our field too! Well, I am not criticizing anything here, but this is a fact. Software testing industry is growing into a mature industry now and businesses are constantly upgrading their QA team in order to increase not only their revenue but also customer delight. But this in a way has affected Testing Industry as a whole. Businesses in order to increase revenue are sacrificing their true contribution to industry. We should always review Our contribution to Testing Industry. As a software testing professional, we should keep a track of our contribution to not only to the business but also to Testing Industry.
Business are forgetting this contribution to the Industry, in order to serve clients they are sacrificing this contribution. I mean, other than IBM, we hardly ever hear that any company taking initiatives in growing and maturing the Testing Industry as a whole. IBM's contribution to Testing Industry is immense and most of the techniques that we follow in our day to day professional life were initiated by IBM.
